Backcountry Charter

Some of the premiere fishing areas in the Florida Keys are on the famous Islamorada flats. Whether you're a novice or expert angler, a Casa Morada Backcountry Getaway is your pass. Bonefish, Tarpon, Redfish, Snook, Permit are the catch-of-the-day here, but expect Barracuda, Shark and other species to visit too. This is great fishing on light tackle, but you'll need a guide to find the hot-spots and navigate these extreme shallow waters. Navigating the channels and flats on the shallow bay side of the Keys requires considerable local knowledge.

Leave from Casa Morada on your day of charter and fish Islamorada's famous inshore flats, backcountry, channels and reefs-and the exotic and dramatic species that live there:

Enjoy the backcountry waters and take a tour of the Florida Bay / Everglades Trip. If you prefer not to fish but would like to enjoy the backcountry waters, our guides can take you on a tour of the Florida Bay / Everglades. Only a one-hour boat ride from Islamorada to Flamingo Park, enjoy the serenity of the Florida Everglades which features many species of birds, porpoise, alligators, reptiles and amphibians.

Cape Sable Shelling Trip
March 1 – October 31, 2010

Unwind on a full day adventure to the remote beaches of Cape Sable. This trip is a full day adventure. It is just over an hour running time to Cape Sable. Great place for shelling, walking the remote beaches, no people around. This is a gorgeous trip to the Everglades and Florida Bay through the mangrove islands. You will see all kinds of wild life. Cape Sable is the very southern tip of Florida in the Everglades and you can only get there by boat.

All trips aboard his 18' Maverick skiff (powered with 150 Mercury engine) feature light tackle fishing including live bait, spin or fly.
